KZN Future Stars to sweep Zululand and KwaDukuza

The one day football tournament hosted by the AmaZulu Community Trust and KZN DSR will begin with the Ulundi finals on 14 October at Ulundi Sports Grounds with the spotlight falling on KwaDukuza on 21 October.
The U12 football competition will see the schools involved in the project earning an opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their respective arrears and possibly convince AmaZulu scouts for future reckoning in the club’s youth structures.
Throughout the year the players and their coaches are mentored through the latest life skills and football training methods to enable them growth in their day to day survival in life and football pursuits.
The KZN Future Stars initiative is a schools social upliftment collaborative project between the AmaZulu Community Trust and KZN DSR through football.
According to AmaZulu Community Trust Chairman, Lunga Sokhela there has already been much anticipation bubbling from within the communities about the football fest.
“From the arrangements being put in place currently, there’s already a lot of excitement and interest which is good for the youngsters.” “We’d like to invite the public, parents and pupils from participating schools or teams to come and support the initiative,” said Sokhela.
Entrance to the grounds will be free at both the Ulundi Sports Grounds and at KwaDukuza Sports Complex. The matches will be played from 08:00am to 17:00pm.
AmaZulu FC first team players are also set to join the fun at both events. Popular KZN artist Dj Oros will be on hand to keep the crowd entertained with Ushaka Marine mascots also on hand. Participating schools from Ulundi are Thengisangaye Primary, Gabangaye Primary, Mahlabathini Primary, Dabulamanzi Primary, and Zandela Primary School. Schools from KwaDukuza include, Tshelabantu, Dawnview Primary, Shakaskraal , and New G.
There will also be representation from local SAFA LFA teams taking part in the tournament.
