AmaZulu Community Trust helps in ECR’s Toy Story campaign

In doing our bit to helping raise funds for East Coast Radio’s successful Toy Story fundraising campaign, AmaZulu players stood in to canvass for prospective pledgers at Suncoast & Entertainment World on Tuesday, 12 November 2013.
Although telephone etiquette proved to be a skill it would take years for Bongani Ndulula, Goodman Dlamini, Philani Cele and Tamsanqa Teyise to master, the thought of helping the less fortunate enjoy a happy festive season saw the Usuthu players doing their bit in answering and receiving calls.
“It was a great pleasure to have AmaZulu players doing their bit for the campaign and it’s nice for them to be involved because children look up to them,” said East Coast Marketing Manager, Renee Burton.
According to the station, all money raised will be used to feed KZN’s underprivileged, while toys will be distributed to hospitals, children’s homes and orphanages.
By Tuesday evening over a million rand was reported to have been raised in the corporate day-long campaign.
